The advances in computing have transformed our world in the last few decades in ways that were once considered only dream software now plays an important and central role in all aspects of daily life, a driving force in business Entertainment, medicine and transportation especially in aviation and space. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2001 with the mission to educate students from all over India and other countries, including those from rural areas, so that they become enlightened individuals, improving the living standards of their Families, Industry and Society.

CSE shares the mission and vision of the institute in imparting high quality education to the students. First, it is ensured that the student perceives the computer fundamentals thoroughly. Besides fulfilling the requirements of the syllabus prescribed by the University, the program offers students the opportunity to work on diverse hardware and software platforms.

Our curriculum is designed to provide a balanced and modern course of study that prepares students for immediate employment in industry or for further study in computing. Computer Science is an evolving discipline but it has a well defined core of knowledge and set of characteristic methodologies.

Our programme development and also offers the students a solid back ground in the core areas and exposes them to cutting edge computer technologies.

The Department is well equipped with 7 diversified laboratories including a dedicated laboratory for the students installed with a variety of software catering the need of the students and covering the curriculum specified by the affiliated University. Computer labs have IBM & HP high end severs and 500 operational nodes of IBM and HP Compaq which are designed with connectivity through broadband at 4 Mbps offered by Reliance Network. A slew to the internet facility by the student Firewall hardware has been installed.

The laboratories include OOPs and Data Structure Lab, Operating System and Networking Lab, Systems Programming and Visual Programming Lab, Multimedia and Graphics Lab, Online English Lab and Java Technology Lab, DBMS and Complier Lab, Post-Graduate (PG) Lab.
 

To conduct special seminars covering latest developments and trends in the field of Computer Science, a fully equipped Seminar Hall with all facilities. For collaboration, the CSE department also maintains an Intranet based on Techat implementation. CSE Intranet Wiki hosts Department Profile, Infrastructure, Faculty Profile, Students Profile, Academic Activities, Department Circulars, College Circulars, etc. In Academic Activities, staff members are providing the information about the subjects they are handling which includes Syllabus, Lesson Plan, References and Assignments. Students Profile contains details about class committee meetings, Attendance and other essentials.
Expanding the teaching and learning process, unit Tests are conducted once a month and the students are counseled and motivated to bring out their best performance. Feedback is obtained regularly from the students. Staff are appraised by the students, self, Head of the Department and the Head of the Institution.
