The M.C.A Department of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College organized a Seminar on “DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS” on 19th Aug 2010.

      The Chairman Shri. A. Srinivasan presided over the function. The Secretary
Mr. P. Neelaraj and the Principal Dr. S. Charles felicitated. The Resource Persons for the occasion were  Dr. V. Jayaraj, Department of Computer Applications, Periyar Maniammai University,Vallam and Prof. K. R. Sekar Department of Computer science and Engineering, SASTRA University,Tanjore.

      The resource persons were  introduced by Ms. K.Selve, Lecturer, Department of MCA. The Head of the Department,   Prof. N. Amanullah welcomed the gathering.

       In his felicitation address Principal Dr. S. Charles advised the students to learn and be updated on the current trends. He also emphasized to be innovative about the new technologies introduced. His stressed that “sky is the limit”.

       In his inaugural address Dr. V. Jayaraj ,  alarmed the students about the research field . He listed out the funding agencies for projects and elaborated about the opportunities available to do higher studies.

       During the technical session Prof.K.R.Sekar detailed about distributed computing and its applications with suitable real time examples.

       The vote of thanks was given by R. Santhi, Lecturer / MCA .
