One Day National Conference On “EMERGING TRENDS IN COMMUNICATION”  NCETC’11

EVENT REPORT

The Event National Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication (NCETC’11) was organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College, Perambalur on 05 March 2011.The Spacious and elegant College Auditorium was the venue. The motive of the conference is to create live opportunities for Industrialists, Scientists, Engineers, Technocrats, Research Scholars and students to discuss and formulate some innovative directions for the future of the fast moving world of communications.

The Conference was presided by Shri.A.Srinivasan, Founder & Chairman, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Group of Institutions and Secretary Shri.P.Neelraj, Vice Chairman Er.S.Kathiravan, Trustee Members Mr.P.Mani, Mr.P.RajaBoopathy, Chief Finance Officer Mr.R.Rajasekar were given their gracious presence during the function.

Professor and Head, Department of ECE, Ms.M.Kalpana welcomed the gathering. Mr.G.Thiraviya Suyambu, Lecturer introduced the chief guest to the gathering. The Chief Guest Mr.K,Narayanan ITS, General Manager(NW-OPS-CM), BSNL, Cellular Mobile Telecom Service, Tamilnadu Telecom circle, Tiruchirappalli inaugurated the Conference. In his inaugural address he pointed out that a recent survey made indicates, India has about 783 million number of Telephone Subscribers (both wired and wireless) as a whole. Out of which the Mobile connections were around 688 millions in numbers. Nowadays the wired landline telephone connections were rapidly replaced by wireless mobile connections. He asked the participants and all to get well developed in these areas by utilizing this conference as a platform to enrich and share their ideas and innovations and lot of Employment opportunities were awaiting for you.

Dr.S.Charles - Principal, Professor S.Nandha Kumar - Vice Principal, Dr.B.Karthikeyan - Principal(Designated), Professor V.Sekar – Dean(Academic and Placement) were felicitated the gathering. Mr.S.Vinayaka Babu M.Tech.,MBA(IIM-B), Managing Director, 4 Semi Technology India Pvt.Ltd, Bangalore delivered the valedictory address and chaired the technical sessions. The technical papers were presented under the following sub-domains: Advanced Networks; Communication and Embedded Systems; Information Systems and Security; Computational Intelligence; Signal and Image Processing.

There was intense interaction in the conference among the guest and participants and it proved a good opportunity for the presenters to deliberate on the various developments in the emerging communication technology areas with a view to chalking out course of action for the future. More than 100 participants from various industries, institutions were presented their innovative works in the conference. The conference came to a formal closure with vote of thanks from Assistant Professor B.Revathi@Ponmozhi and with  National Anthem.
