National Level Seminar on Computing Technologies (NSCT’11)
The Department of Information Technology of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College has organized a One Day National Level Seminar on ‘Computing Technologies’ on 17th February, 2011. Shri.A.Srinivasan, Chairman, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Group of Institutions presides over the function in presence of Shri.P.Neelaraj, Secretary, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Group of institutions and Shri.S.Kathiravan, Vice-Chairman, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Group of Institutions. Dr.S.Charles, Principal, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College feicitates in presence of Prof. S.Nandakumar, Vice Principal, Prof.V.Sekar, Dean (Academic) and Dr.B.Karthikeyan,Principal(Designated). Dr.S.Charles, Principal of the College has felicitated the gathering. And he gave a wonderful converse about recent trends in computing technologies and its usage in future.
Mr.N.Suriya, Training Executive, Hot Net IT Academy, Trichy inaugurated the function and gave a technical talk on ‘Cloud Computing’. He gave details about Cloud Computing and the effective implementation of its architecture. In cloud computing architecture is not just based on how the application will work with the intended users. And also Cloud computing requires an intricate interaction with the hardware which is very essential to ensure uptime of the application. The concept of cloud computing incorporates web infrastructure, software as a service (SaaS), Web 2.0 and other emerging technologies, and has attracted more and more attention from industry and research community with suitable applications & its security.
Mr.L.Antony,Training Executive, Hot Net IT Academy,Trichy valedicte the function and gave a technical talk on “Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CCNA”. He gave details about Red Hat Enterprise Linux represents a new standard for Red Hat by offering greater flexibility, efficiency, and control. It works across a broad range of hardware architectures, hypervisors, and clouds. Corporations and agencies that standardize on Red Hat Enterprise Linux are free to focus on building their businesses, knowing they have a platform that delivers more of what they need. And also explained Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®) validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. Both the sessions were very informative and interactive. And also explained how CCNA, RHEL related to Cloud.
Mrs.R.Revathi AP/IT welcomed the gathering. Ms.P.Geetha, AP/IT, delivered vote of thanks. The arrangements were made by Prof.S. Selvakumar, HOD/IT and Co-ordinated by Ms. P. Geetha, Assistant Professor & Ms. R. Rampriya, Lecturer, Department of IT. More than 80 participants from various engineering colleges were participated and benefited. This attempt was a grand success.
