Hotel Management & Catering Science

The department of Hotel Management & Catering Science of the college has all infrastructure facility to impart quality education and training in Hotel Management & Catering Science to the students admitted to the graduate programme. These include well equipped facilities of International standards like Basic Training Kitchen, Bakery and Confectionary, Mock Restaurant with bar, model bed room (House Keeping) and Front office. The sprawling kitchen for training has all the latest kitchen equipments. The ambience in the School has been created to give the right feel for learning and also an infrastructure has been created with a blend of luxury hotels so that the students would be exposed to the facilities of a hotel.

FACILITIES

BASIC TRAINING KITCHEN:
The Basic Training Kitchen for the students in Food Production has been planned to accommodate students simultaneously. Each student is allotted a separate table equipped with required modern kitchen equipment, wash facilities etc, The students are trained in the Basic knowledge of cookery, then after they are made to do food in Indian and International cuisines like North Indian, South Indian, Tandoori, Chettinadu, French, Italian and Chinese . And also students are trained in soft skills like Vegetable Carving, Fruit Carving and Ice carving.

BAKERY AND CONFECTIONERY:

Students are made to do different varieties of Bread, Bun, Pastries, Cakes, Pie, Tart, Ice Creams and Chocolates etc. 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE

BOSTON RESTAURANT
It is a training restaurant; students are to practice the basic fundamentals of various types of restaurant services like American, French, Italian and Flambé Services.

HEINEKEN BAR
It is a dummy bar; students are to practice the Basics of various type of services like Beer, Spirits, Liquor and wine service etc… They are practice to make of the Cocktail & Mock tail making. We give the special training for Juggling.

HOUSE KEEPING
In the posh and luxurious room, that resembles a suite of a star hotel, the students are taught the  art of housekeeping. The training imparted there includes bed making, floral arrangement, cleaning and often chores that make a rewarding and memorable experience for the students.

FRONT OFFICE
The spacious and well furnished Front Office which reflects the ambience of the five star hotels, the students are taught the procedures to be followed in the hotel Industry, with the help of software provided in the front Office. They are also taught in developing the right attitude, situation handling, telephone handling skills and other related functions required to compete in the Industry, and also we are specializing the personality development and communication like spoken English, French and Hindi.
