Human Resource Development Centre of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts & Science for Women, organized a two day (07.12.2011 & 08.12.2011) Faculty Development Programme on “Influencing Skills Target Setting and Team Work”. Shri.A.Srinivasan, Founder-Chairman of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Educational Institutions presided over the function. Ms. Shanmugapriya R, Placement Officer welcomed the gathering. 

                 The Resource persons were Mr. Prakash Sharma and Mr.Gomathi Shankar, Corporate Trainers from Sieger Training Consultant Pvt, Ltd, Chennai. They dealt with topics on Styles of communication, relationship management, time management, attitude and Goal Setting. The session started with the skills of communication for a well qualified faculty which was followed by the assessment of characters based on DISC tools. Indoor and outdoor games were conducted to explore the task managing skills of the faculty members. Mr. Shankar added “A woman is the best manager in the world”for which he quoted many examples. An activity with marbles and pipes encouraged the planning efficiency of the participants. The topic “Time management” was made clear that it is we the human beings who need to manage the timefor ourselves and not the time which will adjust according to our needs, with concentration on task under smart approach. The role of faculties was specified that they are not dealing with human beings but with brains. Nearly 160 faculty members attended and participated in an enthusiastic and lively manner. Ms. S. Hemalatha, Assistant Placement officer delivered the vote of Thanks.
