The Human Resource Development Centre of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for Women, Perambalur, organized a Career Development Program on 31.1.2012 by Professional Info Tech, Coimbatore for all final year U.G and P.G students of Life Science streams. Shri.A.Srinivasan, Founder and Chairman, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Groups of Institution, presided over the function. Ms.R.Shanmuga Priya, Placement Officer, welcomed the gathering.

                The resource person was Mr. Syed, Head Operations, Professional Info Tech, Coimbatore. In his address he spoke on the career opportunities in medical coding, medical billing, medical transcription. He mentioned that these are the fastest growing sectors in India. The role, qualification, importance and processes behind these courses were explained.The difference between voice and non voice processes, tele-conversation, report of medical file was taught to the participant. He also gave a demonstration with a sample medical report, the conversion of a report into code, dialysis etc. The software used for this process was explained with an example.

                He insisted that these sectors offer good pay package and high growth potential. Students were awakened with the knowledge of transcription and were provokened to join these sectors. Nearly 150 students were benefitted through this programme. Ms.P.Suvetha, lecturer, department of Biotechnology proposed the vote of thanks.
