                Welcome to the department of English ,  one is constantly developing to keep pace with new texts and new ways of teaching and motivating the personality of the students.English was never in so much demand as today because of the MNCs hankering for India as destination for its shop and offices over and above its outsourcing and Indian enterprises getting global with acquisition. English literature students are the great wall of the today’s industries because of their communicative skills.

                The first thing to say is that our English students love reading and writing!  We encourage our students to enjoy a wide range of literature and kinds of writing.

               Our BA English graduates tend to look for employment which will allow them to use their skills with language (both written and oral), their ability to research topics and report their findings clearly, their knowledge of a wide range of types of writing, and their experience of working creatively in groups.

                 Students who   study with us will have wide range of careers, including teaching; postgraduate study;  teaching English as a foreign language abroad or in the UK; journalism; personnel and recruitment; marketing; writing web pages for the internet; working as a personal assistant; working in a press office; adult education; social work training; marketing and editorial work with Penguin Books; librarianship; management trainee schemes with large companies; bookselling.
