In the 1880s, Thomas Alva Edison’s invention of the light bulb signaled the beginning of the electrical era.After this seemingly miraculous electrical illumination came the electric motor , telephone , telegraph , motion pictures and radio and today ,the computers.Electrical & Electronics Engineering is a science that studies elementary particles, smaller than the atom , called electrons. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering serves as a starting point for careers in many fields. Electrical & Electronics Engineering help design, develop, test and manufacture electrical and electronics equipments, radar, industrial and medical monitoring or control devices , navigational equipments and computers .Job responsibilities include specification, design, development and implementation systems as well as research to create new ideas.

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department has well equipped laboratories. Also have a well experienced faculties committed to impart quality education to students and preparing them to meet the challenge of the emerging and competitive scientific world. The performance of our students in the university examination in the past years are impressive. The department has a separate library having a collection of around 300 books in various areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which are used by faculties and students for their day-to-day reference.
The Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineering named ‘TRIEBWERK’ is involved in organizing personality development programs, group discussions and technical competitions to promote awareness in the latest development in Electrical Engineering. Moreover the career guidance programmes and entrepreneurship awareness progrommes are also carried out through entrepreneurship cell. Many students of our department have registered their membership with IEEE. The department has the following major well equipped laboratories.
